AFS Welcome Party, Sushi und erster Schultag!

Letzten Sonntag war eine Wilkommensparty für mich in Niigata, die anderen AFS Austauschschüler waren da, Japanische Schüler, die bald ins Ausland gehen und natürlich auch die AFS Helfer. Es hat echt Spaß gemacht! Nachdem ich mich vorgestellt hab (Ich bin die einzige neue in diesem Chapter, die anderen Austauschschüler sind seit Frühjahr hier.), haben wir Spiele gespielt, gegessen und einfach nur über Sachen geredet.
Last sunday there was a welcome party for me in Niigata, a lot of AFS exchange students were there, japanese students who will go abroad soon and of course the AFS staff. It was really fun! After I introduced myself (I'm the only new one in this chapter, the other exchange students have been here since spring) we played games, ate food and just talked about things.

Und ich hab drei Mädchen von meiner High School getroffen, die nächsten Sommer ins Ausland gehen :)
Das ist gut, weil als ich heute das erste Mal zur Schule gegangen bin (mit dem Fahrrad, Zug und zu Fuß) kannte ich bereits ein paar Leute.
And there I met three girls from my high school who will go abroad next summer :)
That was good because I went to school the first time today (by bike, train and then walking) and I already knew some people.

Oh und bevor ich zu dieser Welcome Party gegangen bin haben meine Gasteltern mir ein paar Orte in Niigata gezeigt, wo ich Mangas und Zeichenkram kaufen kann und shoppen gehen kann. (Da war ein Süßigkeitenladen, zu dem ich unbedingt nächstes Mal hin muss!) Und wir sind Sushi essen gegangen :D
Oh and before I went to this welcome party, my host parents showed me some places in Niigata where I can buy Manga, drawing stuff or go shopping (there was a candy shop, I really have to go there next time). And we went eating sushi :D

Und ich bin ehrlich froh, dass ich einen guten Orientierungssinn habe, ich glaube ich würde hier alles wiederfinden. Da war dieser Laden mit ganz vielen Zeichenutensilien und ich hab ein Sketchbook und 7 Stifte gekauft (die sind hier so viel billiger als in Deutschland!)

And I'm really glad that I have a good orientation, I guess I would find everything again in Niigata.

So there was this store where you could buy pens, paper, copic markers and so on and I bought a sketch book and 7 pens (they're so much cheaper here than in Germany).

Also heute war mein erster Schultag. So sieht meine Schuluniform aus (ein Bild der ganzen Uniform ist in meinem ersten Post):

At school everyone was so nice to me! Whenever I said something in Japanese, they said "kawaii" xD Well basically whenever they looked at me they said kawaii, and whenever I saw somebody looking at me I smiled at them and then they smiled too, turned away and giggled and said to each other that I was cute :'D so much kawaii-ness :DD

I'm one of the tallest at my school, but what I noticed is: Either you are super tiny (that's what most japanese girls are) or you are suuuper tall, but there's nothing between that :D

The girls always tried to help me and talked to me in English but I almost never understood them because their English is terrible ^^ That's because at school, they do learn English but it's always only the teacher talking and explaining the grammar (most of the time in Japanese) and the students never talk. And then my teacher complained that her students can't speak English....

Yeah but anyway, it was really fun! I almost fell asleep during classes because
1. I understand almost nothing and
2. I was super tired because I stayed up all night :')

And the Obento my mother made was super delicious!! *-*
